Mr Yih-Horng Tham

Mr. Tham graduated from Liverpool University Medical School with honours and is an award-winning Consultant Ophthalmologist with specialist interests in Glaucoma, Cataract surgery, Ophthalmic Digital Systems, and Service Development.
He has trained in several world-renowned eye units including St Thomas' Hospital, Kings College Hospital, Sussex Eye Hospital, the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery at Queen Square, and Moorfields Eye Hospital, City Road.
His final training tenure was as Senior Clinical Fellow in Glaucoma at the internationally acclaimed Moorfields Eye Hospital. There he learned cutting-edge surgical techniques from some of the World's best ophthalmic surgeons as well as gaining exposure to the mechanics of some of the world's foremost healthcare models. A relationship he continues to foster to this day.
He is the Lead for Glaucoma for the East Sussex Hospital Trust as well as the Lead for Ophthalmic Informatics. In combining these roles he has driven innovation in the Glaucoma Service by introducing new laser services, the creation of an innovative diagnostic hub, and launched East Sussex's first-ever Virtual Glaucoma Service.
